After attending an NFL game in Detroit a few weeks back, I was looking for a take out restaurant that had grilled food on the menu near the hotel I was staying at. Something to go with Sunday Night Football :-). An online search revealed Joseph's has a possibility and I am very glad I made the choice to go there. I had their Grilled Chicken Salad and it was excellent. The salad had a bed of lettuce and was covered with grilled chicken strips. There was also a cut up whole boiled egg, cucumber, tomatoes, and cheese. It also came with sliced pita bread. There were numerous dressing choices of which I picked raspberry vinaigrette. It's not a fancy looking place, but it was well lit and customers were waiting in line at the drive thru and the lobby, which is where I got my meal. The menu had plenty of fried food, but I will go back there again for that salad.

Sooooo!! This is only my 2nd time visiting here. If I had to go off of this time, i wouldn't be back. Thankfully my first time was good! The first time I had bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes. The pancakes are huge but taste like absolute cardboard. Like no flavor just a pancake. I don't really LIKE pancakes so it needs to be made a certain way for me to eat it and that wasn't it lol The bacon is what brought me back! It looked and seemed like a Ohop bacon almost! There's so many pieces! This time unfortunately my bacon was burnt, like you could taste the burnt on there so i was sad about that. The sausage was good! It's a nice size and flavorful but lemme warn u baby it's $5.00 for a side! I got the breakfast special before 11am and it being 7.99 to me is just ridiculously high lol I got wheat bread which was a bore! Most folks ask you, which one and they didn't! I was sad! My eggs were nice and fluffly and my hash browns could of been cooked with a little Butter Ghee or something. Still not bad.

One of my favorite Coney Islands right outside the downtown area and near Grosse Pointe. It's 24hrs/6 days a week I think they are closed Sundays (open until 7am Sunday morning). There is a bit of a wait and the drive thru line can get long, but for for late night food I don't mind the wait. Food is made to order which is nice to know you're going to getting something hot and fresh. Although it's not the healthiest option it's better than some of the other alternatives at 3am. My favorite thing to order at any Coney Island is the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken. The portions here are amazing, they pack that styrofoam container to the brim and don't skimp on the chicken either. I've also ordered the shrimp basket, which is good. It's far from jumbo shrimp or anything like Miley & Miley but agajn, at 3am to have some freshly fried shrimp that's piping hot and crunchy I'm not complaining. Its also fairly clean inside, well lit, and the prices are decent. My go to Coney in that area.
